Inquiry Ledger // Institutional FAQ v4.3 [Grounded]

01. Security & Identity

How does the Engine connect?

Connection is established via a Secure STS Handshake. You provision a cross-account IAM role with strictly defined read-only permissions. We never store static secret keys.

Where is metadata stored?

Analysis is volatile. Findings are generated in-memory and sealed into your Forensic Artifact. Transient operational logs may be retained briefly for reliability and support, but no customer configuration metadata is stored long-term.

Is the IAM trust revocable?

Yes. You maintain total authority. The IAM Trust Relationship can be severed instantly from your AWS Console, immediately terminating our engine's ability to ingest telemetry.

02. Forensic Methodology

What is "Architectural Drift"?

Drift is the technical delta between your intended architecture and the current billable state. We isolate "zombie" resources—assets that are active but effectively unmapped to workloads—due to lifecycle and billing state divergence.

Do you replace AWS Cost Explorer or CUR?

No. Sovereign-28 is a forensic intelligence layer that is additive to native billing tools. While Cost Explorer reports on spend, we perform deep forensic reconciliation of the architecture generating that spend to isolate hidden EBITDA recovery potential.

What is the "F1-F28" Matrix?

Our proprietary 28-point forensic checklist, fully documented within each Forensic Artifact, providing transparency into the logic used to identify technical leakage.

03. EBITDA Recovery

How does the 14-Day Guarantee work?

If we do not isolate verified recovery potential exceeding your fee within 14 days (subject to a completed scan), we will process a full refund via our primary billing gateway or AWS Marketplace refund mechanisms.

Deterministic Logic vs AI?

Discovery is Deterministic (Hard-coded) to ensure mathematical integrity. High-level narrative summaries are synthesized by AI to ensure the findings are accessible to non-technical stakeholders.

04. Liability & Governance

Who owns the artifacts?

You maintain 100% ownership of the Forensic Artifact and the findings within. Our role is strictly the identification and documentation of the drift.

Washington State Jurisdiction?

Yes. All engagements are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Enterprise-level custom MSA jurisdiction adjustments (DE/NY) are available for Institutional Tier clients.
